Auto Incident

Statement:

The Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office confirms that deputies were attempting to serve a lawful warrant on the morning of December 15, 2025, when the individual fled in a vehicle and was involved in a crash at 9th Street and Girard Avenue. Tragically, a passenger in the struck vehicle was pronounced at the scene.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash, and the Homicide Unit is conducting interviews as part of the ongoing investigation.

The Sheriff’s Office is fully cooperating with all investigative authorities.

The Office extends its deepest condolences to the victim’s family. Support services have been made available to the deputies involved.

As this remains an active investigation, no further details can be released at this time.
