Press Conference: DA Krasner, Sheriff Bilal Highlight Fugitives Wanted for Homicides in NW Phila.
PHILADELPHIA (June 5, 2023) – District Attorney Larry Krasner and members of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office Homicide and Non-Fatal Shooting Unit will be joined by law enforcement partners to highlight five fugitives wanted for multiple homicides that were committed in Northwest Philadelphia since 2021.
This follows the recent arrest of a suspect wanted for fatally shooting a 28-year-old man in the city’s Parkside section in 2022. A gun crimes update and victim services report will also be provided.
I would like to thank District Attorney Larry Krasner, the DA office and all of our law enforcement partners for their outstanding work on this issue. Our plea is simple, which is to reach out to the community and indicate that we need your help, everybody has to go to sleep and eat somewhere. Everybody has a family member of all of these fugitives and we are saying that you don’t want this smoke coming up in your house from our office. Turn them in, they will be safer if you do so for the community. Summer is here. We don’t want to see another person hurt. So as we keep pleading to our communities at large, tell all of your cousins, brothers, friends and loved ones to do the right thing and turn them in to the authorities.
