Sheriff
Green Postpones April Mortgage Sale
In
response to City Council's resolution asking for a moratorium on
mortgage foreclosure sales, the sheriff has postponed the sale scheduled
for Tuesday, April 1st. Information regarding rescheduling of future
sales will be posted as soon as it is available.
Hang up! Don't fall for it.
Sheriff Green urges constituents to beware of a popular identification
theft scheme involving jury service.
According
to the FBI, some con artists identifying themselves as U.S. court
employees, called citizens in areas across the country inquiring about
their failure to report for jury duty. If the person denies ever
receiving a jury summons, the caller asks for the person’s name and
Social Security number, and may request credit card numbers to pay
“fines” ...more...
Sold,
Postponed, or Stayed?
The results of Sheriff's Sales will be posted two weeks following the
sale.
